Hey guys! Just want y’all know I just passed the Nursing Licensure Exam last January 30 and just had my oathtaking last Feb.27. Lost in blog for a while but I’ll be posting about my Nursing life very soon. Still on training till March 5!
Since I’ve got no love life, let’s try out this love stuffs to make it happen.. Hopefully. Not that I’m in a hurry to find love, it’s just that, why don’t we give it a try.
Love pearl straight from Palawan, Philippines. Inside the can is a shell where the pearl is in. Together in the pack is a necklace where you can place the pearl in once you decided to open it. Can’t wait to wear it but on the right time.
One of the best Valentine gift I received and what made it extra special is that it came from dad.
A few weeks ago, Sara published a Weekly Photo Challenge on love, and this week, I siftedthrough and selected some submissions to share for Valentine’s Day. I know some of us don’t celebrate this day, or find such holidays rather cheesy, but I was intrigued by the different perspectives and takes on love and enjoyed your interpretations of this theme, from the traditional to the abstract.
For many of you, love was not of the romantic nature, but rather the connection between parent and child, or the bond between animals, or the smiles of strangers. For the blogger at Fine Things, love is revealed in the imagination of her son; and for the photographer PJ Charles, love is felt in the presence of his mother, in her first year being cancer-free.
Flowers, teddy bears, balloons and cupcakes everywhere. These are in boom when February 14 hits the calendar. Couples prepare for this special day making it one of the memorable day of the year. Well, it only works for those in a relationship. Most of the time.
As for me, February 14 is a Single awareness day. This day becomes extra special only with the presence and effort of my friends who thoughtfully give gifts, and sweet lil things such as messages, or even just chocolates or candies which is much appreciated. Never had I look forward for this day to be special and same goes this year.
As clock strike 12, I was thinking on what interesting thing to do to make it extra special. I thought instead of staying home whole day rather than seeing couples and girls having their gifts from their loved ones. Then I realized I’m too bitter to stay home for that reason. Morning came and I began texting my friends whom I plan to hang out with. Gladly one replied. My date every Vday, Yasier! He picked me up at the house, had chitchat till we decided to go out and eat. And we saw a stall of cupcakes and other valentine stuffs and he bought me a rose. He said “ayan o para naman may magbigay sayo.” Quite harsh but still sweet. Then we had dinner together with mom&lil bro, walk on our way home and hang out there till 11pm.
February 14 doesn’t have to be that worse for me after all. Taken or not, happily committed or not, as long as you show the true meaning of Valentine’s day, and that is sharing the love to the people you love, then you celebrated the true essence of February 14.
In the Southern part of Mindanao lives 7 falls naturally preserved and continually being cared and nurtured by the T’boli men. Located in Lake Sebu, you can come, hike or simply zip and view 7 falls!
The zipline is considered highest in Southeast Asia. You would have to Zip twice starting from Falls #2 and return through falls #2. You have then the option to either take more than 700 stairs or may ride a motorcycle going back to the main.
You can also enjoy trampoline for a very low price.
After hike and adventures, you can then sit with your family, dine and enjoy variety of foods with their tilapia fish as their specialty.
You would enjoy the view, the food, fresh air and you can also take a boat ride around the Lake.
Come and see the beauty of nature! Come and visit Lake Sebu. Mindanao’s finest!
Lake Sebu:” A place where life blends with nature. “
Are you afraid of heights? Or are you in for an adventure? Well, who’d have thought than a hotel can offer such? Guess adventures are not on City parks and forests after all.
Crown Regency Hotels&Towers located in Cebu City, this 40 storey hotel tower offers comfort and luxury plus an added recreation facilities that everyone can enjoy.
What you can do:
Do you love watching films? How about trying to watch them and feel like you’re with them? You gotta watch, feel and believe like you’re the main cast of the film! On the 18th floor of the building, you can have an amazing 4D experience!
After, you can go right up to the 37th floor and view the city with an added twist!
What they call the Sky Walk Adventure. On your safety gears with harness at your back, you can walk and talk and see the beauty of the city on your left and right.
Now you can still go to the 38th floor and see the city, this time a lot easier. You don’t need to walk, you just have to sit and let the edge coaster do the thing!
On the edge of the building is a specially and safely made rail seat that tilts the platform up to 55 degrees that takes you around the building while seeing the view up and below.
Finally, you can have your certificate as a token and at the same time your souvenir for the adventure you endured and enjoyed in your stay in Regency hotel.
Located in Bohol sea, northern coast of Mindanao, I was able to appreciate another beauty of God’s creature and enjoyed different forms of water in one location, that’s what Camiguin can offer.
From Bohol, we had about 2 hour supercut boat ride going to the Island. From there, we were picked up by a multicab which will be our official ride to tour the place. We arrived around 2pm and we had to rush to the Katibawasan falls so we can catch up to the place since they will be closing at around 5pm. It’s wonderful to see how the nature was truly preserved.
They made multicabs for group tour or tricycle as a ride rather than vans or cars since the tourist attractions in the area are mostly waters, every stop would mean swimming fun thus they can be on their swimsuits and immediately sit going to the next destination wet. Also, the place provides fresh air which the city and airconditioned rides don’t have.
Finally, we arrived to our first destination, the Katibawasan falls.
It will take a little walk to the site and it adds excitement. I must honestly say 7falls in Lake Sebu is way better but you can’t swim in it compared to Katibawasan falls which I truly appreciate.
It took me about 10 minutes trying to jump in to the ice cold water. But I did! The water was really cold but the best thing is it’s fresh and even if it’s cold, you won’t get goose bumps I swear! In the middle, it’s about an estimated 8feet deep but in near part, it’s just about 3-4 feet.
We stayed and enjoyed the place for an hour and off we went to our second destination. From cold water to a more relaxing and refreshing one, the hot spring.
The hot spring came from the crater of Mt. Hibok-hibok, a volcano which erupted 1949 and 1951 which caused great destructions in the area and reduced the area’s population. This is also the reason why an added tourist spots such as Sunken cemetery and Old Catamaran Church ruins.
Just a few minutes ride from the falls, we finally arrived to our second destination. A choice of 36-39 degrees water flowing from Mt. Hibok-Hibok, you can enjoy and relax just like a pro, almost like you are just in a Jacuzzi.
We stayed to the area longer than we were supposed to be since we actually enjoyed the place. Off then we head home to our Sunset Beach Club where we will be staying overnight. We changed clothes and had our dinner at the tree house overlooking the Island, though not much appreciated because it’s a bit dim, but we loved the sky looking the bright stars shining that night. We had our sumptuous dinner, with the waves as our background music and the cold breeze. We were all tired and we then off to our bed to have a good night rest, ready for another adventure the next day.
Sun is up and it’s time to be sun kissed!
Woke up and immediately changed to our swimming outfits as we will be headed to the Sinking White Island located in the middle of the Sea. The Island can be seen around 5-10 am and in the afternoon during low tides.
From our place, we will be headed to the Island through a fishing boat. Uh, really small boat that when I saw it I was totally scared that it might sink but thank God we survived it.
On the way, you can make quick stop in the middle to appreciate the beauty underwater. You can have snorkeling if you wish. As for me, I wasn’t able to do it cos if I do, I will be the only one to do it and it will actually be boring if that’s the case. It will only take about 5-10 minutes boat ride and tadaa! Hello White Island!
The white sand was greatly fine just like Boracay.
It’s about 10am when we left the place. We had our late breakfast, prepared and checked out.
Time to travel again!
On the way, you can have a picture with the Island standing on a huge stone. It is considered as a picture-taking spot!
We went to the Cold Spring, where outside, we were able to buy souvenirs for our friends and even for ourselves. We even had a sip of fresh buko juice.
One of their most visited spot is the Walkway to the Old Volcano and the Station of the cross.
We also visited the Sunken Cemetery, the Santa Rosario Church and as well as Old Catamaran Church ruins.
You can actually tour the Island overnight but it’s better to stay for 3 days and 2 nights or more if you wish to enjoy the Sea and other forms of water. You can also have Island hopping which we were not able to do. But hey! We can come back anytime right?
Ayt! Hope you had fun traveling with me in Camiguin Island, Philippines! It’s more fun in Camiguin, It’s more fun in Philippines!
2013 has officially started and guess what? I started it with a bang!
2012 had been one of the most challenging year I ever encountered. 2012 had been a year of extremes; extreme happiness and sadness; extreme adventures and extreme pitfalls. I lost a person, but I met new people. Best part is, God was right by my side all those times.
2012? oh yah! My graduation, where I wasn’t able to gain any award cos I wasn’t able to have enough extra curricular points; My pinning ceremony; My great summer escapade; My July vacation; my hospital training for almost 2 months after my grandma had a stroke, my first ever ambulance ride with her, and when I came back in her place, she’s gone; the clan wars where I was caught in the middle; my tiring but satisfying review days; my board exam day. Yep, those have been the highlights of my year and it taught me a lot of all these experiences. They said me and my family have been through a lot this year, and yes, we did. But we stood still, hand in hand resolved it all because we have each other and we have a Mighty God who never left us.
Then I realized something. I lived a life full of comfort, but this year, I saw and even experienced how hard life can be and I guess it’s a preparation for me in bigger things to come this year. I am about to leave my comfort zone, and this is where my life is about to start. I have to be mature enough to guide my younger siblings. I have to find a good job to help my parents earn for living, oh! and I forgot my last priority but I know it should be, my love life. Yeah, screw it. I think I have one but no one knows if he is the right one until the right time comes.
There is always a time for everything and only God has a control over it. We might sometimes do not understand his wisdom but we simply have to trust his will.
2013. A new year. 365 days to make a change, to make the best out of everything and I’m claiming it. It will be my year, it will be one of the best years even if feng shui tells me it’s not. I’m excited to experience what this year has in store for me and I just can’t wait!
